Can-B Fit: Exercise for Cancer

This is a 6-week movement based program designed to support breast cancer patients living with and beyond cancer. This will be led by Dr. Rachelle Sultana, an accredited senior exercise physiologist at Healthstin, located at our host gym, San Souci Leisure Centre in southern Sydney.

What To Expect

Each week we'll discuss the beneficial impact movement has on cancer, followed by a group exercise session. All exercises will be adapted to suit your needs/abilities. There will be opportunity to have a coffee and chat with group members after the exercise sessions.

  • Understand the benefits of exercise throughout a cancer diagnosis
  • Learn how to exercise safely during cancer treatment and recovery
  • Improve your confidence in developing your exercise routine
  • Understand the importance of habits and planning to achieve your exercise goals
  • Learn new exercises to improve your strength, balance, endurance and mobility
  • Learn how to incorporate movement into your daily life
  • Meet and support other breast cancer patients who can understand your experience 
  • Be involved in a safe and supportive community, to share, listen and learn

The total cost of the Can-B Fit Program is just $75* for 6 weeks of tailored support.

This includes:

  • Initial Consultation with an Exercise Physiologist – $95 (less Medicare rebate of up to $61.85 with Treatment Care Plan from  GP*)
  • Six (6) weekly, one-hour group sessions – only $40 total
  • A personalised exercise plan designed around your health goals
  • Complimentary resistance bands, water bottle & a coffee-shop catch-up

* Medicare rebates are available for up to five (5) allied-health services a year, on referral from your GP or specialist.

About Dr. Rachelle Sultana

Driven by a passion for using exercise as medicine, Dr. Rachelle Sultana is a senior exercise physiologist and allied health coordinator at HealthStin. 

She brings over a decade of experience working with clients with long term health conditions, as well as having a strong interest in women's health and cancer.
