Nutrition Course

In April 2024, we launched our first online 4-part mini-series. This series ran every Tuesday evening over 4 weeks. Following on from our live wellness event, the lovely Elle Sproll guided cancer patients on eating and living an anti-inflammatory lifestyle.
Elle was a Senior Marketer when she was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer at 33. Now, Elle is a certified Health and Nutrition Coach who has lived the full journey from cancer to complete wellness, and that's the vision she holds for everyone she works with. She's dedicated to helping clients understand which diet and lifestyle habits can transform their health, so they live with renewed strength and total confidence after cancer.
Elle shared her 8 habits to stay well after cancer, the importance of each, and her suggestions for small, easy changes we can all make to take control of our health.
Living Well with Cancer

At our second live wellness event we had the pleasure of having guest speaker Elle Sproll, a certified nutrition and health coach and a triple negative breast cancer survivor. Elle touched us with her story and provided useful tools and encouragement on how to own your health during and after cancer.
Wellbeing Workshop

In late 2023 we hosted our first ever live wellness event for cancer patients, carers and volunteer Navigators. Our wonderful guest speakers shared their tools and resources for better self-care and mental health, with practical self-care tips, breath work and Pilates.
CanCare Navigation. One-to-one support
CanCare Navigation was inspired by the innovative work of Dr Harold Freeman's 'Patient Navigation Institute', and work in the UK & US on social innovations in supportive care, 'barriers' to treatment and social connectedness. The CanCare Support program trains and enables a team of volunteers to support, one-to-one, a person with cancer.
The program complements this critical work with workshops for patients and carers in wellbeing, with a focus on exercise, mindfulness and communications. The Foundation runs the National Cancer Lottery to support program funding, as well as encouraging donations through direct mail, telephone and digital channels.
CanCare’s Navigators ‘walk beside’ a person with cancer, helping them get the support they need, at the time they need it most.
The CanCare Navigator provides practical, one-to-one support, such as
- Providing regular contact and practical help
- Finding transport to or from treatment
- Organising social outings and connecting to support groups
- Just ‘checking-in’ to make sure everything is OK
